Made with Xara Northgate Baptist Learning Center A ministry of Northgate Baptist Church I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.  This month we will learn about winter, Martin Luther King, and the Chinese New Year.  We have been working on rhyming words, syllables in words, and the beginning sounds of words.  Now we will start on blending.  We will also work on measurement and number recognition.  Please help by working at home.     Wow!  This year is going fast.  Last month was a great month.  We talked about the weather and more.         We have 2 new friends and would like to say welcome to Jayden and Carlos.      We have much to learn this month.  We will continue working on our letters, shapes, colors, and numbers.      Our them for this month is Valentine, so we will talk about how we should love one another and to always remember that the love of Jesus is the greatest love. .      We have started the year of great by setting personal and group goals.  The children helped create our classroom and playground rules.       February themes will be: Groundhog Day      Valentines Kindness Week      Presidents      We will complete “30 Days with Jesus” study soon and start “50 Days in the Old Testament.”  We will learn and practice Love, Leadership, and Kindness. .      This year is rapidly passing us by.  We are approaching the “Love” month (February)  We will explore the word love and its true meaning by showing our love and kindness to each other.  We will work on the letters N, P, Q, R, and S and the numbers 16-20.  Our sight word is “and”.       We will also have a Valentines Party on February 14th.  Please look for the sign up sheet to be posted.     .
